When authors submit works for review, they declare that they are the original and exclusive holders of their moral and patrimonial rights over the article, in accordance with the provisions of Law 17.336 on Intellectual Property (Chile). If they have used third-party works in the preparation of the article, either in whole or in part, they declare that they have the respective authorizations or licenses to use them from their holders, or that their use is expressly protected by law.

Upon receiving the articles, editors and reviewers may suggest minor modifications to their content, as long as these do not alter the author's arguments. Once accepted for publication, the articles may be reproduced by RLEA for dissemination purposes. Authors retain intellectual property and all rights recognized by law.

The author, by submitting an article, declares his/her knowledge and acceptance of the following conditions.

Authors retain the copyright and grant RLEA the right to first publication under a Creative Commons Attribution license. This allows third parties to use the published material provided that they give credit to the work’s author(s) and the publication in this journal.

Authors retain the right to make other contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of their article published in this journal, such as including it in an institutional collection or publishing it in a book. However, they must clearly indicate the original publication of their work in this journal.

The author expressly releases the Institute of International Studies of the University of Chile from any further liability for any legal, regulatory, or contractual infringements related to the manuscript. The author agrees to indemnify the Institute for any damages that may arise from such infringements or other rights.

Authors retain copyright of their manuscripts and may reuse them as they wish. The must clearly indicates the original publication of the manuscript in this journal.
