This article examines the geopolitical influence of the Pacific Ba-sin and its projection in Latin America, introducing the concept of the “Latino-Pacific” as an emerging category for strategic and geopolitical analysis. The central argument posits that the economic and political rise of Asia has granted new relevance to Latin American countries with Pacific coastlines—particularly in South America—in the realms of trade, investment, infrastructure, and geopolitical positioning. The methodology is based on the analysis of secondary sources, complemented by descriptive data on trade exchanges, investment flows, and value chains. Rather than establishing strict causal relationships, this approach aims to identify trends and projections, offering an interpretation of the opportunities and risks facing the region within a multipolar framework. The findings indicate that, while the consolidation of the “Latino-Pacific” construct remains incipient, the concept provides a novel framework for regional strategic studies by incorporating the transoceanic dimension into global power analysis and highlighting opportunities for Latin America to diversify partnerships and strengthen sovereignty in a contested international landscape.
